2014 Charity Preview Party

(Special to The Denver Post, David Zalubowski)The 2014 Denver Auto Show kicked off with a Charity Preview Party on April 8. Approximately 1,300 people attended the cocktail gathering held at the Colorado Convention Center, raising roughly $150,000 for three Denver-based nonprofits: the Clear the Air Foundation, National Jewish Health and the Denver Post Community Foundation. The party also featured, for the first time, a fashion show with professional models walking the runway in styles from Soignee Elegant Attire, A. Tsagas Custom Fur and Leather Designs and Men’s Wearhouse. The auto show itself, chaired by Elway Dealerships president Todd Maul, runs through Sunday at the Colorado Convention Center.

The Mask Project 2010: Rewind

IMG_0188The online portion of The Mask Project 2010 is now closed. The on line auction ran from April 1, 2010 to May 2, 2010, with the live event taking place on May 1, 2010. Proceeds went to The Denver Hospice in order to support hospice care in the Denver metropolitan area. Masks for auction ranged from celebrities to politicians, chefs to area merchants, and so much more. Terri Fisher of 5 Star was honored to be part of the Mask Project and was honored to have been featured on a poster that was placed in the Cherry Creek Mall.

Denver-area chambers name award finalists

5 Star Talent and Entertainment was voted Number 1 Best Entertainment on Channel 7's A-List team in 2008 and Third place in 2009. As President of 5 Star, wife, mom and grandma to eleven grandchildren, her days are filled with creating excitement, non-stop events and activities. That storyteller at the preschool event, that Japanese musician at the outdoor concert, that Santa at the holiday festival, that rock 'n' roll band at the after-prom and that magician at the birthday party--they all have one thing in common--they were booked by 5 Star Talent and Entertainment.

Terri Fisher, the 46-year-old president of 5 Star, is a one-woman show bringing a diverse flock of entertainers to a variety of clients and events.

"I don't limit myself," she said. "If someone calls, I try to help them. I'd rather build the relationship."

"I can have access to my business all the time and that means I am always available to my cients," says Fisher, who is the home-based business representative to the city Business Advisory Group. Accessibility has been a vital componet to Fisher's success as a full-service agency that books a wide range fo events, from office and holidy parties to the largest of special events (5 Star was selected as a venor of choice for the recent [2004] NBA All-Star game in Denver.

Make Your Next Event Shine

This one-woman show is a full-service entertainment agent that does everything: from weddings and corporate events to company picnics and festivals. In fact, she's bringing the national act Firefall to the main stage at Broomfield Days this month.

Terri says it is a privilege to work with cities like Broomfield, Northglenn, Westminster, Thornton and many others. She also puts together entertainment for area arts festivals, including the Cherry Creek Arts Festival, and has been responsible for the Summer Nights Concert Series at FlatIron Crossing for the past four years.
